The Log Cabin has had many incarnations, yet has always been a meeting place for all.
Established in 1826, The Log Cabin has long since been a pivotal part of the local Penrith community, known for its role in providing a meeting place for all to enjoy great food, drinks, views and more.
This 'historic inn with a vivid past' is today being brought back to live with a nod to its enchanting and revelrous past, with a bright and positive look to the hotel's future role in today's society.
The community is at the heart of everything we do. Discover the Regatta Bar downstairs, perfect for family and friends to enjoy traditional pub classics. Watch sunsets over the mountains on one of our two large outdoor decks adjoining the Nepean River and take in lazy afternoons in our all-purpose beer garden, with fun for all ages including the 'Loggie Train' play area. Evening cocktails at Darwin's Rest can be followed by dinner at our modern Australian restaurant, Sinclair's, partnering with local producers from the Greater Nepean Region.
ENDURING
Having welcomed generations of locals and visitors, The Log Cabin is an icon of the West, with its legend reaching far beyond the regions that call it their own.
Tragedy struck in 2012 when a catastrophic fire tore through the hotel, reducing the much-loved waterfront locale to rubble.
Rising from the ashes is the refurbished Log Cabin, ready to add countless new chapters to its already storied past.
ICONIC
The untimely demise of The Log Cabin led to many tears, and the community was left reeling at the loss of 'their pub'.
A passion for the hotel and a desire held by the people of the region to see The Log Cabin restored to its former glory never expired.
Our re-opening has been spurred on by the fervour helped by these people, and we are excited to invite you back to The Log Cabin.
